8th Halle Conference on Recombinant Proteins
The "8th Halle Conference on Recombinant Proteins" will take place on 12th and 13th March 2026 at the Deutschen Akademie der Naturforscher Leopoldina Nationale Akademie der Wissenschaften in Halle/Saale.
Please click on the registration link in the right-hand column to register.
The "Halle Conference" was first organised in 2003, initiated by Prof. Rainer Rudolph from the Institute of Biochemistry and Biotechnology at MLU. After the initiator's death in 2009, the conference continued in unchanged form. The seventh conference took place in 2022.
The "Halle Conference" has now developed into an international forum that attracts around 300 participants from Germany and abroad to present and discuss relevant developments in the field of production, development and application of recombinant proteins. The topics covered range from the actual production of these biomolecules, most of which are therapeutically relevant, to their formulation and application in the clinical environment or their selective modification, and the identification of new, industrially relevant protein classes.
The "Halle Conference" offers a unique platform for the exchange of the latest scientific and technological findings and for the transfer of knowledge and experience between researchers from academia and industry.
Following the tradition of the first "Halle Conference", there is no participation fee for this event. This allows students in particular to participate without restriction in what is often their first scientific conference. At the same time, the conference offers our university's working groups excellent opportunities to establish joint projects, especially in cooperation with industry.
From a historical and perspective point of view, the "Halle Conference" is a nationally established platform for strengthening applied protein technology in Halle/Saale.
